Come visit my Studio Gallery in Rustico, Prince Edward Island. Canada. One of the oldest Acadian settlements in the Maritimes. Located on the 2nd floor of A.P. Gallants Food Market, a family business Est. in 1927.
My paintings are on display, there are one of a kind Fishirts, Gyotaku (printing with fish.) Prints, Rustico Shirts, and other unique finds. (I may be working on a beach inspired painting.) Mainly the subject matter is Island or Maritime inspired but you may also find a painting or two of Icelandic Horses.
What I like about painting and drawing is that its a lot like solving a puzzle or taking an adventure, continuing to explore a variety of directions and subject matter and not really knowing what the final results will be. Being creative is a continuing process for me as everyday I draw inspiration from my surroundings. I find the landscape stimulating and I think the island way of life influences the style of my work. Having that connection to the land and people here I feel is what defines me as an artists.
Medium used: Acrylics, mixed media using pencil, found objects, textures created with Modeling paste. Small to large scale paintings on wood panel and canvas, sometimes on paper and plywood.
